49er Canada and NE USA Fleet:
In 2 weeks, we will be having our fifth event of the season: the inaugural National Event.
This year the The National Event will be held at the National Yacht Club on July 31 & August 1, 2010 in Toronto’s Humber Bay. This is your official reminder to get the boat tuned up and come sailing!
Toronto is a world class city with lots to do and see.
You can find the Notice of Race & Registration here: http://www.thenyc.com/racing_regattas_dinghy.php?sub=9&subSub=2 .
We expect to have 12+ boats, so it should be a good event. That’s not even counting any of the US guys, either! We want you US East Coast guys to come up and race with us. This should be a great event with a minimum of 10 49er’s, if not close to 15! It doesn’t matter if you have an old rig, come and race! You’ll still learn tonnes (rig setup and boat-handling).
Finally, here’s who we’re expecting for The National Event:
CAN 123 – Dubreucq / Parekh
CAN 1135 – Cook / Ehvert
CAN 946 – Mori / Barnes
CAN 819 – Soosalu / Blumer
CAN 501 – Lakota / Lumber
CAN 603 – Brodeur / TBD
CAN 807 – Kmiec / Little
CAN 821 – Cook / Blake
CAN 239 – Berry / Kartner
CAN 943 – Crossley / Crossley
CAN 608 – Brazier / Waldie
CAN 1096 – Chouinard / Chouinard
USA 090 – Pete Kitt / TBD
USA 1097 – Burd / Pesch
USA 402 – Rivlin / Rensselaer
This event is part of our Canadian East Coast GP Circuit and counts for GP points towards the half rudder trophy from Cushman Wakefield & Lepage.
So you better all be there (with new or old rigs)!
